We believe ministry in a clinical setting is a unique calling. Our program seeks to provide you with the tools needed to meet the needs of this very special population.
CPE at Erlanger Medical Center finds its roots in the Chattanooga Association for Clinical Pastoral Care (CACPC). Which was formed and incorporated in 1984 by a coalition of persons interested in the training of those who ministered. CACPC received full accreditation in 1988 from the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc. (ACPE). ACPE is the standard setting, accrediting and certifying agency for CPE.
