A licensed Occupational Therapist employed by Erlanger, is responsible for direct and indirect care in the rehabilitation of the patient.

The Occupational Therapy Fellow will participate in fellowship curriculum activities including:

  • Structured mentorship
  • Didactic learning
  • Case presentations and journal reviews
  • Clinical competency assessments
  • Engage in quality-improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice projects, and performance feedback sessions.
  • Demonstrate professional behaviors consistent with AOTA core values, including accountability, compassion, integrity, and excellence.

All didactic and clinical work must be completed within the 12-month fellowship program in accordance with the Acute and Critical Care Fellowship curriculum. (See Acute and Critical Care Fellowship handbook for more details.)

This position does not guarantee employment at the end of the 12-month fellowship program.

This position is an exempt position and a 0.85 FTE.

Physical requirements include:

  • Standing, walking, sitting, crouching, kneeling, reaching throughout your work shift
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting >100lbs more than 50% of work shift
  • Typing, talking, hearing throughout your work shift

This program is currently seeking candidacy status for accreditation through the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). While we are pursuing accreditation, please be advised that if the program does not receive AOTA accreditation by the time you complete your fellowship, you will not receive a certificate of completion from an AOTA-accredited fellowship program.
