Erlanger Health Statement on National Stryker Cybersecurity Incident
Erlanger Health is aware of a cybersecurity incident that has been publicly reported involving Stryker Corporation, a national medical device and technology company. This is a national issue affecting the broader healthcare industry. Erlanger has not seen any impact thus far; however, we are taking proactive precautions to ensure the health and wellbeing of all our patients and colleagues. We are actively coordinating with regional emergency services, and cybersecurity professionals to ensure we remain protected. Out of an abundance of caution, Erlanger has taken a number of immediate precautionary steps.
Patient care at Erlanger continues without interruption. We are maintaining all scheduled services and surgical procedures, and we are actively working to prevent any disruption to our clinical teams.
Erlanger’s top priority, as always, is the safety and well-being of every patient we serve. We are approaching this situation with the same boldness and forward focus that defines how we lead – taking swift action, staying ahead of risk, and communicating transparently with our community.
We will provide additional updates as warranted. As of now, there are no changes to scheduled appointments; however, patients with questions about their appointments or care should contact their care team or provider’s office directly.
