As chief resident, Dr. Hwang has led the urology service this year with compassion and integrity. He has done an excellent job running our resident clinic where uninsured patients from our community receive high-quality urologic care that they may not otherwise have access to. He always puts the needs of patients and younger residents above his own by spending extra time explaining surgical procedures to patients and by taking extra time to teach his junior residents academic concepts, bedside procedures, or surgical skills. He is an exemplar of humanistic medical care.
