Tyler Winks is an accomplished servant leader and senior healthcare executive with more than 15 years of clinical and operational experience. As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Erlanger Health, he serves as the system operations executive for our nationally acclaimed health system comprised of seven hospitals across multiple states. In this capacity, he is responsible for driving excellence across all hospital, ambulatory, and medical group operations to achieve the organization's long-range strategic and clinical objectives.
Tyler also serves as the Executive Leader of the Erlanger Medical Group (EMG). In this role, he is accountable for growing and enhancing the area's largest physician network that encompasses over 57 medical specialties and more than 600 providers. His leadership is central to building the strong physician and stakeholder relationships necessary to support the region's medical needs and maintain Erlanger’s standing as a leading academic teaching medical center affiliated with the University of Tennessee College of Medicine.
In addition to day-to-day operations, Tyler leads the execution of a multi-year facility master plan and oversees various system-wide service lines, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Chief Executive Officer for Erlanger East and Erlanger North Hospitals. His extensive background also includes senior leadership roles at Inova Health System in Virginia and director-level positions within Baptist Health and HCA Healthcare systems in Kentucky.
Tyler holds a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Science in Imaging Sciences from Morehead State University. He still maintains his Radiography, Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging registries with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
