Dylan Carmichael, DO

I am pleased to nominate Dr. Dylan Carmichael for the Harold Alper Humanitarian Award. Dr. Carmichael is a YIP -1 Fellow in the Department of Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Chattanooga. He has been a n outstanding Fellow in colorectal surgery whose character, professionalism, and commitment to others exemplify the core values this award honors.

Dr. Carmichael attended the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Geisinger Health System Program (Surgery - General) Geisinger Health System. He consistently demonstrates service, altruism, and goodwill in his daily interactions, approaching both his clinical responsibilities and relationships with integrity and compassion.

His work with students and fellow residents is particularly noteworthy. Dr. Carmichael is supportive, collaborative, and generous with his time and knowledge, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment. His ability to uplift those around him reflects a deep commitment to service and mentorship.

I am confident that Dr. Carmichael will continue to be an exceptional representative of goodwill in this community and throughout his future career. His contributions are truly deserving of recognition, and I strongly support his nomination for the Alper Award.
