The Erlanger Regional Operations Center (EROC) is the nerve center of Erlanger’s extensive regional trauma and pre-hospital care system – controlling the movement of every ambulance and medical helicopter across a four-state service area. EROC is recognized as one of the nation's most advanced communications centers for patient logistics.
EROC staff can immediately route emergency assets, coordinate between mobile and air emergency medical teams, and prioritize resources, thereby speeding lifesaving care to an average of 37,000 injured adult and pediatric patients annually. EROC is the central point for:
- LIFE FORCE Flight Communications
- The Tennessee Regional EMS Medical Communications Center
- Transfer and patient placement for Erlanger and Children’s Hospital at Erlanger
- Contracted ground ambulance dispatch/transportation coordination
EROC is designated as a Regional Medical Communication Center by the State of Tennessee Office of Emergency Medical Services. The center coordinates all communication within Region 3 (Southeast Tennessee) and in cooperation with adjoining regions.
