Alison L. Bailey, MD, FACC, is Director of Preventive Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation for the Erlanger Heart and Lung Institute. Dr. Bailey attended college and medical school at the University of Kentucky. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency, Chief Residency and Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship at the University of Kentucky, as well. She worked at the Gill Heart Institute with an emphasis in cardiovascular education, serving as the Associate Program Director for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship as well as establishing the Cardiac Rehabilitation program in 2009.
Dr. Bailey currently directs Erlanger's Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship Program and continues to focus on cardiovascular education and prevention. Clinically, her interests include heart failure, sports cardiology, and the general prevention of cardiovascular disease. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology as well as Echocardiography. She also serves as council governor for the Tennessee Chapter of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Bailey sees patients at Erlanger's General Cardiology and Prevention Clinic as well as the Heart Failure and Hypertension Clinics.
