About / Overview

Dr. Dutta is a fellowship-trained urologist specializing in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery (URPS). He treats male and female voiding dysfunction, pelvic floor disorders, neurourology, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, bladder prolapse (cystocele), vaginal and uterus prolapse (rectocele / enterocele), bowel incontinence, BPH, and other complex urinary conditions. He also cares for cancer survivors experiencing urinary complications after treatment for pelvic cancers.

Dr. Dutta has expertise in managing urinary symptoms related to neurologic conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and spinal cord injury. He offers personalized treatment plans designed to improve bladder function, restore quality of life, and help patients regain confidence in their daily activities. He also leads the Erlanger Urology Urodynamics testing program for the diagnosis of complex urinary tract dysfunction. Specializing in both minimally invasive and traditional urologic surgery, Dr. Dutta offers robotic-assisted, laparoscopic, reconstructive, vaginal, endoscopic, prosthetic, and complex open procedures, combining advanced treatment with patient-centered care.

Dr. Dutta serves as Assistant Professor of Urology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Chattanooga and is actively involved in resident and medical student education. He has authored numerous book chapters and peer-reviewed scientific studies within Urology.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking, discovering new music, reading, weightlifting, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
