About / Overview
Dr. Jonathan Powell is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiologist with Erlanger Cardiology. He is committed to delivering advanced, compassionate heart care. Dr. Powell is the director of the Cardiac CT program and director of echocardiography at Erlanger Western North Carolina. He is a member of The University of Tennessee Health Science Center Cardiovascular Disease Faculty where he serves as Affiliated Assistant Professor, Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship. He has a strong interest in advanced cardiovascular imaging and non-invasive diagnostics and therapeutics.
Dr. Powell was drawn to cardiology because it blends patient relationships with cutting-edge technology. Being able to help people feel better and often see real improvement in their lives makes the field feel both exciting and deeply fulfilling.
An avid pilot, Dr. Powell enjoys flying, hiking, swimming, and spending time with family. He especially values opportunities to travel with them to fun and unique destinations during their time off.
