A First-Ever Certification in Total Ankle Replacement
Erlanger is the first health system in the country to achieve certification for Total Ankle Replacement from DNV-GL, a world-leading certification organization. Based on American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) guidelines, this certification recognizes program excellence in patient care and outcomes. Prior to Erlanger’s certification, DNV-GL did not have a Total Ankle Replacement certification. The two organizations worked together to create a certification dedicated to benefit patients through quality care, positive outcomes, and increased patient safety.

From Our Patients
“Dr. Alvarez is a great doctor. I can't imagine going to another doctor that cares and takes his time to care for my medical needs. Thank you Dr. Alvarez, you're great!”
“I am thrilled (with my ankle resurfacing from Dr. Jesse Doty). It’s so much better already in four weeks. I was in a walking boot with full weight-bearing at two and half weeks, which is amazing. So, I am very happy and it’s healing very well.”
