Dr. Rama Jayanthi is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care for children and their families. Inspired by a lifelong desire to become a physician, he finds great fulfillment in helping children overcome complex urologic conditions and improve their quality of life.
For Dr. Jayanthi, pediatric urology is about much more than surgery. He values the relationships he builds with patients and families, understanding that many urologic conditions involve deeply personal and emotional challenges. He believes in creating an environment where families feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in their child’s care.
While highly skilled in surgical treatment, Dr. Jayanthi is committed to exploring all appropriate options before recommending an operation. When surgery is necessary, he specializes in minimally invasive techniques that can help children recover more quickly, experience less discomfort, and minimize scarring.
Dr. Jayanthi has more than 32 years of experience providing urological care for children. Recognized for his expertise, Dr. Jayanthi has been invited internationally numerous times to teach advanced and complex reconstructive surgery.
Prior to joining Erlanger, he served as Chief of Pediatric Urology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH and Chief of Pediatric Urology at Dayton Children’s Hospital in Dayton, OH.
