About / Overview
Dr. Leonardo Knijnik is a cardiac electrophysiologist specializing in atrial fibrillation treatment, complex arrhythmia management and implantable cardiac devices at Erlanger Cardiology.
Dr. Knijnik was drawn to cardiac electrophysiology because of its unique ability to improve and often transform patients' quality of life. He is passionate about diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders and is continually refining his techniques to deliver the best possible outcomes for his patients. His goal is to help people live healthier, more active lives by providing advanced, personalized care.
Dr. Knijnik held leadership roles throughout his training, serving as Chief Resident at the Bruce Carter Miami Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Chief Fellow during his fellowship at Emory University.
Dr. Knijnik is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. When not caring for patients, Dr. Knijnik enjoys paddleboarding, reading and spending time with his family.
