About / Overview

Dr. Elliott Carter is a Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician. He enjoys caring for the full spectrum of OB/GYN patients including pregnancies, adolescent medicine, reproductive difficulties, heavy/irregular periods, pelvic pain, LGBTQ+ concerns, menopause, and hormone therapy. 

Dr. Carter received his undergraduate education at Davidson College in Charlotte, NC, where he met his wife Kathryn. He received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Following medical education, he completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine – Chattanooga, affiliated with Erlanger. He decided to join as a staff physician at Erlanger due to the commitment to inclusion, diversity, and excellence in patient care. 

When not practicing medicine, Dr. Carter enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and two dogs. They enjoy cooking, hiking, and camping. He is thrilled to be in Chattanooga to serve the Erlanger Community.
