About / Overview
Amy Rains, FNP-C, CMRD, is a nurse practitioner with Erlanger Neurology, caring for patients at both Erlanger East Hospital and Erlanger Medical Mall. With over 30 years of nursing experience in Chattanooga, Amy has a diverse background in emergency care, education, leadership, and geriatrics.
Since joining Erlanger in 2016, Amy has focused on neurology, driven by her passion for geriatric care. She specializes in treating movement disorders, particularly Parkinson’s disease, as well as headaches. She is certified in movement and related disorders by the Association of Movement Disorder Advanced Practice Providers (AMDAPP). Amy is trained in advanced therapies, including deep brain stimulation, and is a member of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, quilting, biking, running, and spending time with her family at the beach.
