About / Overview
Dr. Amar Singh, Chief of Urology at Erlanger, is a urological oncologist who specializes in robotic-assisted and minimally invasive urologic surgery. He provides advanced treatment for a wide range of urologic conditions, including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney stone disease, and all urological cancers, with a special focus on cancers of the prostate, kidney, bladder, and adrenal glands. With twenty years of experience, he is one of the most experienced urological surgeons in the region and the Southeastern United States.
A leader in robotic urology with several thousand robotic surgical cases to his credit, Dr. Singh has helped expand access to innovative urologic care across the region by introducing advanced surgical technologies and minimally invasive procedures that reduce pain, shorten recovery times, and improve patient outcomes. He has helped develop one of the most experienced programs in organ preservation for prostate cancer, with leading expertise in focal therapy for prostate cancer in the region.
In addition to his clinical leadership, Dr. Singh serves as Professor of Urology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Chattanooga, where he trains the next generation of urologists and surgeons. His contributions to urology research, medical education, and clinical excellence continue to advance the field.
Known for his patient-centered approach, Dr. Singh combines surgical expertise with compassionate care, helping patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options, and path to optimal urologic health.
