About / Overview

Dr. Harish Manyam, Chief of Cardiology at Erlanger, is a nationally recognized cardiac electrophysiologist specializing in atrial fibrillation treatment, complex arrhythmia management and advanced lead extraction.

Dr. Manyam’s calling to medicine began while studying bioengineering at Johns Hopkins University when his uncle became seriously ill with a complex set of diseases. The experience shaped his commitment to building strong, meaningful relationships with his patients while delivering compassionate, individualized care.

A leader in cardiovascular innovation, Dr. Manyam has spearheaded several medical “firsts” at Erlanger. His team performed the first‑in‑the‑nation extravascular implantable cardioverter‑defibrillator (ICD) procedure and the first atrial leadless pacemaker implantation in Tennessee. His passion for advancing cardiac care is driven by a lifelong desire to improve patient outcomes and provide leading‑edge treatment options.

Outside the office, Dr. Manyam treasures time with his family. He enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, and continuing to advance cardiac research.
