Paying Your Bill
Thank you for choosing Erlanger Health System for your health care needs. At Erlanger, we know how overwhelming it can be to deal with health issues and medical bills. It is our goal to make the payment process as easy as possible.
Patients with health insurance (government, commercial, managed care) will receive a ten percent (10%) prompt-pay discount on balances that are the patient's responsibility. The full payment must be paid 30 days from the date that the first billing statement was received. If a discounted payment is received after the thirty days, the patient will be billed for the remaining amount. Patients without health insurance, or self-pay patients, are not eligible for a prompt-pay discount.
A Managed Care-type discount of fifty-five percent (55%) effective September 1, 2013, will be applied to all self-pay accounts with a date of service of September 1, 2013 and later who do not qualify for a payment source. These discounts do not apply to programs or service which are deemed elective in nature. Examples of these include wellness programs, cosmetic procedures, bariatric procedures, etc. These types of programs have specific pricing and are exempt from receiving the discount.

Account balances are to be paid 30 days from the statement date. If you are unable to pay your bill in full by that date, you should contact Patient Financial Services to make payment plans. Erlanger reserves the right to place any account on a cash basis or require a pre-payment before medical services are received.
