About / Overview

Dr. P. Roger DeVersa is originally from Texas, and has spent most of his life in Tennessee. He attended MTSU prior to earning his medical degree from UTCHS at Memphis. He completed his residency with University of Tennessee at Chattanooga at Erlanger Health System.  Dr. DeVersa is particularly interested in care of adults with an emphasis on prevention and early detection of illnesses. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and riding his bicycle.

Dr. DeVersa practiced in the acute care setting as a hospitalist for much of his career and he transitioned to the outpatient setting recently.  He was in the charter class of the Society of Hospital Medicine's designation for FHM, Fellow of Hospital Medicine. Dr. DeVersa previously served on the Budget and Finance Committee for Erlanger Health System which motivated him to obtain his MBA. 

Dr. DeVersa has spent his entire adult career in the hospital setting. He previously worked as an RN prior to becoming a physician. His broad experience with all aspects of healthcare helps him approach patients holistically and practically.

Dr. DeVersa has worked in the hospital setting for 38 years, of which 22 of those years has been as a physician. Dr. DeVersa enjoys living in the vibrant downtown area of Chattanooga.
