Dr. Mark Gilbert is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with nearly 30 years of clinical practice experience, including at Erlanger Baroness Hospital and Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital. He specializes in wound care and hyperbaric medicine and served as the medical director of the Wound Care Center for nearly three years before its brief closure.
Dr. Gilbert has a broad range of executive leadership experience in emergency department and EMS medical direction. He has served in the role of Chief Medical Officer at Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital and Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi.
Having called western North Carolina home for nearly 18 years, Dr. Gilbert and his wife are excited to be back in the area.
