Dr. Matthew Oliver is a board-certified, fellowship-trained gynecologic oncologist who considers it a deep privilege to care for women with gynecologic malignancies.
Originally from Maryville, Tennessee, Dr. Oliver earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and completed his medical school education at East Tennessee State University. Following medical school, he completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
In 2015, Dr. Oliver began a gynecologic oncology fellowship at Brown University, Women and Infants Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. After completing his fellowship training, he joined the faculty there as an assistant professor
in obstetrics and gynecology within the division of gynecologic oncology. It was during this time that Dr. Oliver was selected as the Women’s Reproductive Health Research Scholar through the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Oliver plans to use his research experience to expand clinical trials available through Erlanger Health System to women with gynecologic malignancies.
