Dr. Brian Mitchell is a board-certified primary care physician with Erlanger Primary Care – Peachtree. Dr. Mitchell has been an important part of Erlanger Western Carolina Hospital since 1979, serving in various capacities including Chief of Staff for the hospital’s ICU and Cardiopulmonary Department, as well as Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation.
In addition to seeing primary care patients, Dr. Mitchell serves as a clinical assistant professor at the UNC School of Medicine at Chapel Hill, where he has taught medical students since 1988.
Dr. Mitchell is a member of the Western North Carolina Medical Society and a board member of the James G.K. McClure Education and Development Foundation. He serves on the Cherokee County Board of Education and is a founding board member of Super Saturday of Clay and Cherokee Counties, a school enrichment program.
