9 AM – 5 PM
Designed for adults aged 60 and older, the Seniors Program at Erlanger North is an inpatient program focused on diagnosing and treating the mental health issues and complex problems associated with aging. Our goal is to preserve the dignity and maximize the abilities of each individual, helping them cope with stressful issues such as grief, loneliness, illness and disability, changing roles and status and family conflicts.
A Multidisciplinary, Family-Centered Approach
Our program uses the latest, multidisciplinary approach to care. During a typical patient stay of a week to ten days, our program combines medication, structured activities, counseling and other methods to prepare the patient for discharge from the hospital. For some patients, the goal is stabilization so they can return home. For others, their inpatient stay may be a transition to a new lifestyle, perhaps moving from living alone to an environment that can better meet their needs. Whatever the individual circumstances, our program works closely with the entire family in charting a course of treatment and recommending after-care.
Our comprehensive team includes:
- A board-certified psychiatrist
- Social worker / case manager
- Registered nurse / licensed practitioner
- Activity therapist
- Certified patient care technician
- Support from a board-certified internist, nutritionist, pharmacist, and as needed, an occupational and physical therapist
