High Risk Pregnancy Care

A Lifeline for Our High-Risk Moms 

As a Perinatal Care Certified Hospital, Erlanger provides spacious labor and delivery rooms, equipped to deliver babies of every gestational age, as well as the region’s only High-Risk Perinatal Unit for moms who need to stay at the hospital for vital care in the weeks before delivery.

Erlanger stands apart though a commitment to high-risk moms and babies:

  • Only Erlanger operates a 24/7 OB Emergency Room.
  • Only Erlanger Baroness Hospital and Erlanger East Hospital are both recognized as Perinatal Care Certified Hospitals.
  • Only Erlanger provides a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at its Baroness Hospital location and a Level II NICU at Erlanger East Hospital.

More than 4,000 patients a year visit the region’s only 24/7 OB Emergency Room at Erlanger Baroness Hospital. As the region’s leading fetal medicine provider, Erlanger serves every high risk mom and baby between 0 and 42 weeks.

In cooperation with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists and staff at Regional Obstetrical Consultants, women are able to been seen through satellite offices across the region – spanning 17 Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina communities.
