J. Woodfin (Woody) Kennedy, MD
Dr. Kennedy joined The Plastic Surgery Group, P.C. and Hayes Hand Center in July, 1997. Dr. Kennedy is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand through the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is also a candidate member of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Kennedy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plastic Surgery and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at UT College of Medicine.
Dr. Kennedy has a special interest in cosmetic surgery of the breast and abdomen and treats a wide variety of hand problems through Hayes Hand Center.
Dr. Kennedy served as Erlanger Medical System’s Chief of Staff for two consecutive 2 year appointments in 2011 and 2012 and is a past member of the Board of Trustees for the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Hospital Authority doing business as Erlanger Health Systems. He is now serving as Past Chief of Staff at Erlanger Hospital. Dr. Kennedy is President of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Council of Academic Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Association for Hand Surgery.
Dr. Kennedy and his wife Carrie, reside in Red Bank. They divide their time between their two daughters, Mary Davis and Lydia who are studying at Auburn University.
