Nominate an outstanding Erlanger trauma care provider for the 2015 Allan Jackson Award

The Allan Jackson Service Award is given in memory of Allan Jackson, BSN, RN, to a trauma care provider that goes beyond the call of duty to enhance the care of Erlanger’s trauma patients . Allan was an exceptional nurse, teacher, leader, and friend who died of kidney cancer in February 2009 at the age of 39. He practiced as an Emergency Department RN, a “Red Shirt” in the Trauma Services Department, and eventually left Erlanger to fulfill his dream of being a Flight Nurse at Emory.

Recipients embody the same traits and dedication to improving the health of trauma patients as Allan did. Previous winners are: Lee Dickerson, PTA, Physical Therapy (2009); Kathy Bohr, RN, TICU (2010), Diane Knight, RT, Respiratory Therapy (2011), Carol Owens, RN, 6th Floor (2012), Nancy Sherrill, RD, LDN, CNSC, Nutrition Support (2013), and Jennifer Cox O’Neal, RN, MSN, FNP-BC, Trauma Nurse Practitioner, Trauma Services (2014).
