Burn Unit

A self-contained unit with its own operating room, hydrotherapy tanks and patient rooms, the Burn Unit at Erlanger provides the personalized care and medical technology necessary for survival and recovery from the most devastating injury a patient can endure. By incorporating all modes of treatment into one unit, the Burn Unit can handle burn emergencies whenever they occur, regardless of facility scheduling in other areas of the Medical Center. The Burn Unit's staff of nurses, all trained in critical and burn care, work with physical therapists, dietitians, occupational therapists and plastic and reconstructive surgeons to assure that burn victims experience the speediest and most complete recovery possible.
