Metabolic Syndrome is a group of risk factors that are strongly associated with vascular disease which can lead to heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, and stroke. These risk factors consist of abdominal obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels, and high blood sugar. To some degree most risk factors associated with Metabolic Syndrome like obesity, type 2 diabetes and hypertension can be prevented by lifestyle choices. Lifestyle choices that lead to Metabolic Syndrome are improper nutrition and physical inactivity. Research studies show there is a need for change in the lives of people with risk factors
