Erlanger East Surgical Center

Surgeries for men, women and teens ...

Opened in 1991, the Erlanger East Surgical Center has grown to include a wide variety of surgical services for women, men and teenagers.

Outpatient surgeries include:
• Gynecological procedures
• Plastic surgeries
• Pain management procedures
• Orthopedic procedures such as knee replacement and arthroscopy
• General surgical procedures

General Surgeries, which include the latest Laparoscopic Surgical Technology:
• Hysterectomies and other gynecologic procedures
• Laparoscopic cholesyctectomies
• Plastic surgeries such as abdominoplasty, breast implants and liposuction
• Orthopedic procedures: arthroscopy and total joint replacements

Digital Operating Rooms

Computer monitors providing high-definition images from inside the body have transformed Erlanger East Surgical Center’s operating rooms into technological wonders. Digital technology makes more minimally-invasive procedures available - meaning smaller incisions, less blood loss, lower risk of infection, faster recoveries and improved clinical outcomes - all benefits to you as a patient.

The digital OR’s at East are linked to monitors at the Erlanger Baroness Campus surgical facilities and pathology department, providing real-time surgical consultation and educational opportunities.

The streamlined efficiency of the digital OR’s allows the dedicated East staff to concentrate fully on the patient instead of adjusting and moving equipment. Less clutter means faster turn-around times and more ease in meeting surgical schedules. Again, your safety and convenience are top priority.

Overnight Surgical Patients

As Erlanger East Campus’s surgical capabilities expand, more inpatient procedures requiring at least an overnight stay are being performed. Initially focused on c-sections, gynecologic, general and plastic surgery patients, the Erlanger East Surgical Nursing Unit has grown to serve both male and female patients.

Erlanger East Surgical Nursing Unit

Located on Ground Floor, the Erlanger East Surgical Nursing Unit is a quiet and relaxing wing featuring ten private rooms. Initially focused on c-sections, gynecologic and plastic surgery patients, the unit now serves the inpatient needs of male and female patients following general, plastic or orthopedic surgical procedures, as well as gynecologic or obstetrical surgeries.

Staffed completely by Registered Nurses, the unit has a home-like environment complete with a family kitchen and room service available for both patients and their families.
