The staff at Erlanger East Family Medicine—Allen Sherwood, M.D., and Jarrod Roussel, PA-C—is dedicated to providing a broad spectrum of care for every member of your family. Whether you require a physical exam or treatment of a chronic illness, Erlanger East Family Medicine has your best interests at heart. Dr. Sherwood is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and Mr. Roussel is certified by the National Commission of Certification of PA’s, which is in conjunction with the National Board of Medical Examiners.

“We use proven, state-of-the-art techniques to diagnose, treat, and prevent illnesses,” Dr. Sherwood says. After receiving a medical degree from the UT College of Medicine in Memphis, Tenn., he completed his internship in general surgery at Rutgers University. He also completed his residency in family medicine at UT College of Medicine Chattanooga, based at Erlanger, where he currently serves as Clinical Instructor of Family Medicine.

“Our team approach allows Dr. Sherwood and me to forge relationships with our patients while continuing to provide our patients with the highest quality of care,” says Roussel. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in cellular and molecular biology from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn., he received his Bachelor of Science in physician assisting from the Medical University of South Carolina.
