Located adjacent to the Erlanger Baroness Campus, T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital is a Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center (CRPC), the highest designation in the state for pediatric care.
T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital is the sort of full-service facility usually found only in very large cities. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is designated Level III by the state, providing the very highest level of care for premature or sick newborns. The Pediatric Trauma Team, Emergency Department and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit provide immediate, 24-hour-a-day care for critically ill or injured children. Erlanger LifeForce Air Ambulance and the Neonatal/Pediatric Ground Transport make the services of Children's Hospital quickly accessible to pediatric patients throughout our region. No other facility in our region offers these services.

- Region’s only Comprehensive Cancer and Blood Disorders Center, affiliated with The Children’s Oncology Group, a national research organization with access to latest treatment options for children with cancer
- Affiliated with the Children’s Hospital Alliance of Tennessee (CHAT) and National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI)
- Region’s only pediatric laboratory with equipment and procedures scaled down to match the size of the patient
- Children’s Therapy Services including physical, occupational and speech therapies and audiology
- Child Life Program offering planned and free-form activities to help decrease stress and anxiety for children during their hospital stay
- Safe and Sound injury prevention program for school-aged children and younger
- Ronald McDonald Family Room which allows parents a place to shower/rest without having to leave the hospital and the nearby Ronald McDonald House providing a home away from home for families of sick children
- Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, mobile dentistry service providing dental care to children in Chattanooga and the surrounding area
- Region’s only neonatal/pediatric ground ambulance which transports sick newborns and children from other medical facilities
