It's a place where doctors and attorneys often study cases side by side. A place frequented by court reporters, medical examiners, insurance investigators, geneticists, members of the clergy, psychologists, college students, even well-known authors. It has medical research capabilities unmatched by any other library in the tri-state region. And best of all, the services of Erlanger?s Medical Library are free and available to the public.
The Medical Library is located on the Baroness Campus of Erlanger at 975 East Third Street near downtown Chattanooga. Directions to the Baroness Campus from several different highways are listed on the main erlanger.org web site. Once you are on the hospital campus, follow these instructions to find us.
From the Erlanger Parking Garage:
Enter Erlanger through the garage entrance closest to the gift shop (the Main Entrance, NOT the Medical Mall Entrance). Pass the Volunteer Information Desk and turn right towards the Cafeteria. Pass the Cafeteria and turn right at the mirrored wall. At the end of the short hall, take the F elevator up to the 2nd floor and turn right. We are at the end of the hall on your right.
From the Hampton Street Side Entrance
(#7 near the Emergency Rooms)
Enter through the side door up the stairs with the blue railing. Go through both sets of glass doors and turn left. The Library is straight ahead of you.
