Obstetrics
We offer total care of all pregnancies, from first visit through
postpartum visits. Our Obstetric services include, but are not limited
to:
- Low risk pregnancy
- High risk pregnancies and multi-fetal pregnancies
- Access to high risk OB physicians (Perinatology)
- Ultrasound
- Non-invasive fetal testing
- Financial assistance packages available (including lab tests)
- Assistance with TennCare paperwork
- Pregnancy related classes in English and Spanish for:
- "Caring For Your Baby During Pregnancy"
- "Getting Ready for Labor and Delivery" with hospital tour
- "Parenting Class"
- "Breast Feeding"
- "Car Seat Safety"
- "Mom's Club"
If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant, we strongly encourage all
women to seek care. If you do not seek care with us, please seek care from
someone to ensure the best outcome for your pregnancy. The UT Obstetrics
and Gynecology Clinic as well as Erlanger Baroness Hospital are committed to
compassionate, quality care for you and your baby.
Gynecology
Our Gynecology services encompass all care for women's reproductive health as
well as overall health. We perform annual screening and health maintenance
examinations as well treat all conditions related to reproductive health. Since
many women see a gynecologist as their only physician, we also can identify and
treat many non-gynecologic conditions that can improve overall health. If your
condition is beyond our scope of practice, we are well equipped to make the
appropriate referral. Your health and well being is our primary goal. Our
gynecologic services include, but are not limited to:
- Full Health maintenance examinations including PAP smear
- Pediatric and adolescent gynecology
- Colposcopy and treatment of abnormal pap smears
- Evaluation and treatment of:
- Urinary or rectal incontinence
- Sexually transmitted diseases
- Abnormal vaginal or uterine bleeding
- Enlarged uterus
- Birth control and family planning
- Pre-conception counseling
- Breast disorders
- Pelvic pain
- Pelvic pressure
- Pelvic organ prolapse
Full scope of surgical and non-surgical treatment for all gynecological
disorders.
Appointments
To schedule an appointment in our office, call 423-778-2580 and our staff
will assist you in scheduling an appointment as soon as possible. For acute
conditions, please call as early in the day as possible. We have several
same-day acute appointments available.
To schedule one of the Obstetric classes, call 423-778-2580 ext. 15 or ask
for Rebeca Perez and she will assist in scheduling you for the next available
class.
Payment for Services
We accept most major insurance plans and are members of several PPO, HMO
plans. We provide TennCare coverage though Americhoice (Obstetrics only),
Blue Care, TennCare select and others. We also accept Medicare, TRICARE, Georgia
Medicaid, Wellcare and Amerigroup of Georgia .If your insurance company is not
listed, please feel free to call and find out if your insurance will cover your
visit with us.
For patients with no insurance, our clinic delivers care to through our own
discount payment plan as well as Project Access. We are here to ensure that all
patients have access to care.
Office Visits
For the first visit, plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to the scheduled
appointment to give time to fill out paperwork. At this visit and each
additional visit, please bring all of your medications or a list of all
medications that you are currently taking. If you need refills prior to your
next visit, please call the clinic at 423-778-2580 and ask to speak to the
nurse. If medications are financially difficult to afford, please talk with the
physician. Assistance may be available through drug companies or
pharmacies.
