Alana Sullivan
Chief Compliance Officer
Alana Sullivan, who resides in Harrison, Tenn., was named chief compliance officer of Erlanger Health System in December 2005.
 
Sullivan comes to Erlanger from Polymedica Corporation in Woburn, Mass., where she served as chief compliance officer and director of regulatory and governmental affairs. She was responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of a corporate compliance and ethics program in a publicly traded healthcare organization generating approximately $500 million in revenue and employing over 2,000 employees.
 
Sullivan’s additional experience in regulatory compliance, strategic planning, new program development and budget control includes work with the American Red Cross in Washington, D.C., with ARJO/Pegasus Inc. in Illinois and Florida and Support Systems International, Inc. (now Hill-Rom, Inc.) in South Carolina. She has worked in hospital finance positions, including as chief financial officer for AMI Doctors Hospital in Lanham, Maryland.
 
While in college, Ms. Sullivan served an internship at the White House. She graduated from Tulane University School of Business in New Orleans, La. with a B.S. in Business Management. Her memberships in professional associations include the Health Care Compliance Association, Health Care Financial Management Association, and she is a board member of the National Association for Support of Long Term Care.
