How do Erlanger Health System Employee’s help ensure compliance?Each Erlanger Health System Employee is dedicated to providing the best service possible to our patients, patient’s families and visitors. Part of helping ensure that Erlanger provides the best service and care possible is by ensuring our staff is compliant with the laws, rules and regulations that govern the job they perform within the healthcare system. Each Erlanger employee is required to attend annual and specific compliance training relevant to the job they perform within the health system. What is a compliance violation?A compliance violation is any situation which would cause Erlanger Health System to be in violation of any law, rule or regulation that governs the operation of the health care system. A compliance violation would also include any violation of Erlanger Health System’s Compliance Program or violation of Erlanger Health System’s Code of Conduct. Generally, a complaint related to the service you received while at Erlanger Health System does not result in violation of a law, rule or regulation and would not be reportable to the Office of Compliance. A complaint related to the service you received while at Erlanger Health System should be filed with eTRACS. You may contact eTRACS 24 hours a day and 7 days a week at (423) 778-6168. How to report a compliance violation to the Office of ComplianceThe Office of Compliance is concerned by any situation which may result in a compliance violation. Should you suspect that a compliance violation has occurred you should report the suspected violation to the Office of Compliance immediately. The Office of Compliance may be contacted through the information listed below: By mail: What you need to include in your request for compliance reviewIn order to review a situation to determine whether a compliance violation has occurred, the request must contain as much detailed specific information as possible. You may remain anonymous if you would like but the anonymous request is the most difficult to review. The reason the anonymous request is so difficult to review is due to the fact that the Office of Compliance can not contact the individual filing the request to obtain additional information. |
