Many precautions have been put in place for the safety and security of you and your baby. You will be wearing matching identification bands and the baby will also have a security tag.

Most new mothers and their babies are discharged 24 to 48 hours after delivery. At that time, you will receive discharge instructions and information about the follow-up care for you and your baby, as well as resources for at-home help.

Each infant must have a car seat installed in order to be discharged from the hospital. Install your car seat well before your due date by a certified child passenger safety technician. For more information on available dates and times, contact the Safe & Sound department at 778-6691 or visit and enter your zip code for car seat installations in your area.
