J. Carter Hemphill, M.D., F.A.C.C is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine.  Dr. Hemphill is also board certified in nuclear cardiology and in endovascular medicine.  He earned his Medical Degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina.  He completed residency training at both Brockton Hospital, part of Boston University Medical Center, and the University of Texas Health Science Center. He continued his training, completing his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and his fellowship in interventional cardiology at Scott & White, part of the Texas A&M College of Medicine. Dr. Hemphill has a particular interest in the minimally invasive treatment of coronary heart disease and peripheral arterial disease.
